Under New Management!

You may have noticed that things have been a little quiet around here for the last few months (silent actually). Long-story-short: too busy with real (paid) work, a surprise move of house and the imminent arrival of a third child have meant that I’ve simply not had the time to dedicate to this wonderfully daft fatbike magazine project. It was looking like game over, until a bearded saviour in the form of your new Editor in Chief...

Bob’s Rovaniemi 150

Finally my hands are warm(ish), I’m somewhere on the last hill of the route. A street light appears over the brow of the hill, incongruous in the vast forest. Winter Camp 2017 – the aftermath!

The bike was set up with tubes and Schwalbe Jumbo Jims. Having had a...

Fat Viking race

Harder, longer, icy. What was supposed to be a 150km fatbike race turned out to be a 175km fatbike race! The course had to be adjusted due to the (VERY) unusually mild winter. Okay, so the race just got longer? We kept the climbing, just in case! Race day was cold enough to make the surface hard and fast, but the warm temperatures leading up to “Fat Viking” had transformed parts of the course to an icy highway. Geilo, the...
